Description
MQSeries middleware is a highly reliable, asynchronous communications function for application to application connection. MQ has become essential to enterprise messaging, covering more than 20 hardware/software platforms from mainframe to desktop with a single programming interface, allowing choice and integration of TCP, SNA, NetBIOS, and other protocols in a single network, while assuring delivery of messages even across temporary network or system failures.

The communications engine of the messaging system is responsible for all of the physical communications protocols and message delivery. This insulation provides the application with a network-independent topology, and facilitates the development of a truly heterogeneous application environment.

The basic API for most messaging systems consists of functions that:

Connect, open, and attach to the messaging system

Dequeue a message from a queue

Send a message to a queue

Close or detach from the messaging system

Using the appropriate IBM MQSeries programming mechanisms, an application program can start executing as a result of one or more messages arriving on a queue. IBM MQSeries implements a common application programming interface, called the message queuing interface (MQI), across all supported platforms.

For more information on IBM MQSeries, refer to the IBM MQSeries documentation for the platform that you are using.

You will need to install the MQSeries v5.2 Client for Windows since this component uses MQIC32.DLL or MQM.DLL which are installed as part of the client installation.
