On complex forms it can be cumbersome to figure out if the user changed some input on the form, so he can be prompted for saving the content. The set of classes provided in this upload provides a generic and extensible solution for the problem of saving a forms content, restoring a saved state, and checking for changes relative to a saved state. The approach taken uses the factory pattern to handle specific component classes. Handlers for the most commonly used control classes are provided.
The TFormStateStore class provided can deal with components on nested frames and also handle embedded forms if they are owned by the host form.
The sample app was written in response to a newsgroup message, see URL for the start of the thread.
